Landscape artist Andrew Cooper painting a fynbos mountain scene at Noordhoek Art Point

We’re celebrating all things floral together with Cape Dutch Gardens on Garden Day, 9 October.

We’ll be sharing a small floral art exhibition in the beautiful nursery space at Cape Dutch Gardens and in return, they will be setting up a mini nursery shop in front of the gallery.
Pop in at the gallery to feast your eyes on inspiring floral art and watch some of our own talented artists in progress, and then head over to Cape Dutch Gardens to immerse yourself in heavenly endemic flora. Both venues will be sharing a little bit of their best bits, so you can expect to walk away feeling good about the world.

The beautiful garden at 16 Noordhoek Main Rd is in full bloom. Landscaped by local garden guru Andrew Hart, it is filled with local species of daisies, fynbos and succulents to create a waterwise and sustainable garden that looks good no matter the season.

Weather-dependent, we will be exhibiting a few pieces of art amongst the plants at Cape Dutch Garden at the Noordhoek Garden Emporium.

Nonophela Craft

Our friends from Nonophela Craft will join us on Garden Day too. You can shop a selection of handcrafted basketware all made by talented people in Masiphumelele at our gallery on 9 October. Not only are the baskets beautifully made, but harvesting the reed used to make them is an important way of curbing overgrowth of this plant in the wetlands areas bordering Masi.
